Two French swords - one in its scabbard. The first a brass mounted pattern 1872 sword for a military doctor with a double-edged c 82 cm long faintly etched blade marked METER on one side of the ricasso and ETIENNE on the other. The second a nickel-plated French cavalry officers sword pattern 1896 with a c 89 cm long straight blade marked Manufacture Nationale d'armes de Chatellerault 1913 on the spine in a nickel-plated scabbard with a single suspension ring.

Condition

Both with spotted blades.
